Beach Cat Sailing Lesson

Beach cat sailing is in a category of its own. These are fast, powerful multihull boats that fly a hull in big gusts and drench you in spray on every tack. They're not difficult to sail well — but there's a right way to do it, and learning that way makes all the difference between a great time and a swim.

Our Beach Cat Sailing Lesson is a half-day hands-on session on Pamlico Sound. You'll rig, launch, and sail a beach catamaran with one of our US Sailing certified instructors — covering points of sail, tacking and jibing, capsize recovery, and the finer points of beach cat handling in real wind and chop.

Complete the lesson and you're certified to rent our beach cats independently — no extra paperwork, no questions asked. It's the fastest path from curious to on the water on your own.

$300 per half-day session. Group rates available.
