Full Day Sail

A full day on the water is its own kind of vacation. No schedule, no deadlines — just the Sound, the wind, and wherever the day takes you.
Popular destinations for our Full Day Sail include Ocracoke Island, the ruins of Diamond City, and the remote barrier islands of the Sound's outer edge. We've also been known to drift through Hatteras Inlet and out toward the blue water just because conditions were right. Bring a cooler, bring lunch, and know that wherever we end up, you'll be glad you spent the day this way.
What's Included - Licensed USCG captain — experienced, local, and knows the Sound - Junior sailor mate — crew support aboard (works for tips, always appreciated) - Cooler with ice — bring your own drinks and snacks - Porta-pot or marine head — vessel equipped for comfort - Bluetooth speaker — your playlist, your sail - Lunch stop and fuel — included for the full day - Chloe — Capt. Jay's golden retriever; first come, first served
Hatteras Community Sailing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Your full-day participation is the single largest contribution a visitor can make to our mission — every dollar supports free youth sailing and community instruction on the Outer Banks.
